Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is effective as of 15th October 2010.

The Service

The Safele search service is powered by Google® Custom Search. We do not in any way cache or modify the results produced by Google. You can read Google’s privacy policy at Google Privacy Policy. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results/links from within Safele. You should read the privacy policies of those websites when you use them.

Collection and Use of Information

When you use Safele, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. This information may include items such as the URL, IP address, browser type and language, the date and time of your request, etc.

We use this information to monitor the use of Safele (e.g. the numbers and frequency of visitors). We only use this data in aggregate. This collective data helps us determine how our audiences use parts of the site, so we can improve Safele. We may publish or provide this aggregate data to other people.

Safele does not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information to us.

When you send email or other communications to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services.

We will only use the personal information you have chosen to provide us for the purpose for which you provided it. We will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

We will never give your personal information to anyone else except when required to do so by law.

Cookies, Web Beacons, and Other Technologies

We may also collect information relating to your use of Safele through the use of various technologies, including cookies.

Our third-party advertising partners use cookies in combination with web beacons to serve ads, and to analyze the effectiveness of the ads that they serve.

A cookie is a small chunk of data created by a web server, delivered through a web browser, and stored on your computer. Cookies provide a means for websites that you visit to keep track of your online patterns and preferences, as well as identify you as a return visitor. Cookies make the personalization of your web experiences possible, so that you do not need to re-enter your information from scratch upon each visit to a given website.

A cookie will not allow us or any third-party to learn any personally identifiable information that you have not otherwise disclosed.

The use of cookies is an industry standard, and they are currently used on most major websites. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can change your browser’s cookie settings to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Some features and services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to Safele.

Google’s use of cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to Safele users based on their visit to Safele and/or other sites on the internet.

Users may opt out of the use of Google’s cookies by visiting the advertising opt-out page.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on Safele.

The cookies of those third-party vendors or ad networks may also be used to serve ads on Safele.

Users can opt out of some, but not all, of these cookies in one location at the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out website at www.networkadvertising.org.

A web beacon is a small image file that is placed on a web page and used in conjunction with cookies to accurately count the number of unique users who have visited a specific page or viewed a specific advertisement. Any image file on a web page can act as a web beacon.

Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to ensure that any data that we collect is secured on our servers, including multiple levels of strong encryption and strong passwords, hardware and software firewalls, anti-virus software, etc.
